Frozen Organic Riced Broccoli Malaysia
If you’ve been wanting to replace your diet with healthier alternatives, broccoli rice is one of the best options to add more fibre to your meals. Similar to riced cauliflower, our frozen riced broccoli is made with 100% raw broccoli, packaged in a neat manner. Why should you consider broccoli rice? Well, it is much lower in carbohydrates and calories than white or brown rice. With just half a cup of riced broccoli, it is only 7g of carbohydrates, compared to white rice which is 22g. Replacing some of your daily nutrients with vegetables will benefit your body in the long run.
Simply pop the frozen riced broccoli in your microwave or heat it up on a pan, and it is ready to be consumed immediately in any form. One of the popular recipes includes broccoli fried rice. It can be hard to find frozen riced broccoli since it is less popular compared to riced cauliflower. 1) How would broccoli rice be a better alternative than normal rice?
When you compare broccoli rice which is made from vegetables with normal rice, it is quite clear that the latter would be much higher in calories. Broccoli rice generally has fewer calories and is low in carbohydrates in comparison with white or brown rice. Our Malaysian daily meals tend to be rich in carbohydrates, causing your blood sugar levels to rise as well as your sugar intake.
If you want to maintain a healthy, balanced nutritional intake, it is better to substitute part of your diet with lower calories but high in nutrients. Bear in mind, white or brown rice isn’t considered unhealthy, they just contain fewer nutrients and are high in calories.
2) What are the benefits of consuming broccoli rice?
Broccoli rice offers nutritional values known to boost brain health, such as lutein and beta carotene, which comes from vitamin A. Broccoli rice tends to have higher calcium, vitamins and minerals compared to normal rice. Since broccoli, in general, has higher antioxidants, it could also help prevent cancer.
3) Who is suitable to consume broccoli rice?
If you are diabetic or must watch your daily sugar intake, substituting your regular rice with broccoli rice would be ideal. Apart from that, those going on specific diets that require low carbohydrates such as Atkins or keto could benefit from broccoli rice.
